Vectorial Elevation is an interactive artwork that transformed the Place Bellecour in the heart of Lyon, France. Using a three dimensional interface this web site allowed you to design huge light sculptures with 18 robotic searchlights located around the square. A web page was made for each participant with photos of their design from four webcams. The piece was live from December 3 to 10, 2003 to coincide with the Fête des Lumières and the UN World Summit of Cities. During those seven nights the project received over 600,000 visitors with over 6.5 million web pages served. | |||||
